"Pour Out My Heart"

"Here I am, once again.. I pour out my heart, for I know you hear every cry.. You are listening.. No matter what state that my heart is in.. You are faithful, to answer, with words that are true, and a hope that is real.. As I feel, your touch, you bring a freedom to all that is within.. In the safety of this place, I'm longing to pour out my heart, and say that I love you. I pour out my heart, and say that I need you. I pour out my heart, and say I am thankful. I pour out my heart, and say you are wonderful.."

The words to an old song. In reality I don't recall who did it, or who wrote it for that matter. But, what a prayer! What a devotional!

Today, do you long for the Lord? Do you desire more of Him? Do you want to "pour out your heart?" Talk to Him today.. Tell Him your heart? Open up completely to Him and with Him.

Over the years, I have written in several journals that I have bought.. This was written in one now going back possibly 12-13 years.. It wasnt dated, and didnt say where I was at when written.. But that is beside the point.. The point is.. Have you poured out your heart to God lately? Have you crawled up into His arms and allowed your inside to gush out? Have you allowed yourself to become transparent with God? In such as way that you reach down to the deepest part of your soul to pour out your heart? The Scripture tells us, "Cast your cares on the Lord...." (Psalm 55:22). God has open arms, waiting to hold you, in the rough times, in the good times. Be it a trail, or be it a time of rejoicing, a time of great happiness, or a time of sorrow. Know this, He has loving arms reaching out to hold you, to love and care for you.
